Buying a late model used vehicle has traditionally been done in the same manner since the inception of the used car business. A consumer purchases from the Used Car division of a new car dealer or from the lot of an independent dealer. The vehicles have been taken in trade or more likely have been purchased by the dealer at auction. Because of the overhead involved and the legitimate motive of profit, dealers understandably mark up the vehicle to a “retail” price. Millions upon millions of previously-owned cars and trucks have found their way to consumers via this method.
This method has been and continues to be replete with mistrust, misgivings and fear. The consumer very rarely knows the cost of the vehicle to the dealer and virtually never trusts that this figure is accurate even if it is disclosed. | So what's the catch? There is no catch. But it is a different process than you are used to and you will have to commit to the process with a refundable deposit. We will consult with you and explain in detail how in partnership with you we will find, buy and deliver your car. Of course no money will exchange hands until you agree on a car and a maximum price. OK so you find me a car within my parameters as stated on the vehicle profile and you buy it at or below the price you promised. You show me the car and the receipt and I say "Wow"! How do I take delivery? It's simpler and faster than what you are used to, yet it is the same, legal transfer as with any dealer. We provide you with a Bill of Sale marked paid, temporary tags and a temporary registration and off you go in a great car or truck. In a short time (usually less than 10 days, much faster than the typical dealer), you will have the title and assignment of the title (noting any lien holder if you used a loan to buy) so that you can permanently register the vehicle in your name/s. |
